London-born Swiss conductor Kevin Griffiths, who comes from a family of conductors, has established himself in the world of classical music as a versatile and accomplished figure. Regularly invited to prestigious festivals such as the Menuhin Festival Gstaad, the Rheingau Music Festival, the Holland Festival, the Luma Festival Arles and the Venice Biennale, Griffiths has made a name for himself with his dynamic performances.

He has led renowned orchestras across Europe, including the Frankfurt Radio Symphony, the Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz, the Staatskapelle Weimar, the Zurich Tonhalle Orchestra, the Basel Symphony Orchestra and the Basel Chamber Orchestra, demonstrating his broad expertise in both traditional and historically informed performance practice. His passion for early music and historical performance practice has led him to work with specialized ensembles such as the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and the Ensemble Musica Aeterna. His CD recordings for Warner Classics, Sony, CPO and Prospero Classical testify to this diversity.

From 2011 to 2018 he was artistic director and chief conductor of the Collegium Musicum Basel, with whom he initiated the popular "Proms" concert series in the Casino in 2016. He has worked with soloists such as Sir James Galway, Pierre-Laurant Aimard, Kian Soltani, Reinhold Friedrich, Vesselina Kasarova, Fazil Say and Lebo M.

Griffiths' career is also marked by his commitment to contemporary music and education, which has seen him work personally with renowned composers such as Steve Reich, John Powell, Enjott Schneider and Lera Auerbach. He achieved international recognition as co-founder of the London-based Steve Reich Ensemble, and the ensemble's recordings have received prestigious awards and critical acclaim.
