Concert in the prestigious Tonhalle Zurich with Klassifest - "Side by side Projekt"
Di., 10. März | Zürich
We will perform Tchaikovsky’s “Souvenir de Florence,” named after the city because Tchaikovsky sketched one of the main themes of the work during his visit there. We will open the evening with Edvard Grieg’s “Holberg Suite,” based on dances from the 18th century, and conclude the first half with Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 5, often referred to as the “Turkish.”
The solo part will be performed by the 18-year-old Swiss-Latvian violinist Ilva Eigus, winner of numerous international competitions and a student of Marc Bouchkov at the Royal Conservatory of Liège, Belgium.
